Shaped like an open-mouthed fish, the jug has also been known as a "Glug Glug" and "Gurgle Jug" and originally had the tagline “a novelty which always attracts attention”. When liquid is poured at 3/4 full, it produces a gurgling sound, the result of an air-lock created in the hollow fishtail which then bubbles out.
